Dunia Martínez is a PhD student in Education and ICT (e-learning) at UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya). She holds a degree in English Philology from the UB (Universitat de Barcelona), a postgraduate degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the UPF (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) and a Master's degree in Trainer of Trainers: Management of Educational Projects from the UPC (Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya). Her research interests focus on teaching and learning of English as a foreign language, social networks, instant messaging platforms, MALL (Mobile Assisted Language Learning) and CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning), as well as ICTs. She has published short papers in the EuroCALL Conference Journal, participated in conferences and conventions such as EUROCALL, APAC, TeLLT & CoLLT and FOELLT. She is a teacher with extensive experience teaching English as a foreign language to teenagers and adults, in face-to-face, online and hybrid/hyflex classes. Since 2020 she has been teaching on the Master's Degree in Bilingual Education at the VIU (International University of Valencia), as well as directing TFMs. She is also a lecturer on the Bachelor's Degree in Teaching at VIU (International University of Valencia). Since 2014 she has been teaching at the UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), where she also creates materials for English courses from levels A1 to C1 and coordinates different courses.
