Dr. Cristina Calle Martínez teaches English Applied to Tourism at the Facultad de Comercio y Turismo, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She taught English applied to Business for eight years at the Facultad de Económicas y Empresariales. She obtained a degree in English Philology from the University of Málaga. After graduating, she moved to Madrid where she obtained a Ph.D. in Contrastive Rhetoric Applied to Chemical and Medical Texts from University of Alcalá de Henares in 2004. She has given many conferences on English for Specific Purposes and written articles and reviews in well-known educational journals. Her publications include articles on second language teaching, language for specific purposes, lexicology and teaching and learning through ICTs.
