Music

Music produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without. ~ Confucius

In a review of research on the benefits of music in our classrooms, The Arts Education Partnership (AEP) was able to determine that music education can enhance students' abilities to achieve in core content subject skills. It also enhances their ability to develop skills and knowledge for lifelong learning. At D39C, music will be infused into our work each day. Students will have the opportunity to experience music in a variety of ways: beginning with singing, playing simple instruments, exposure to great musical works, and progressing to learning how to read (and compose) music, learning to play instruments, technology infused music, recording studio, and performing in musical events.
