Makes 20L at 5-6%.
Fermentation: 7 to 10 days.
Bottle for 7 days.
Ingredients:
1 can of Pale Ale Malt Extract (Bru-Mix)
1/2 cup of Bran Flakes Cereal
6 cups of White Sugar
1 cup of Dextrose (NOTE: used for priming, white sugar can be substituted)
1 packet of Beer Yeast (usually included with malt, example: coopers ale yeast)
In a large pot boil 4L of water, then remove from heat. Add all ingredients (except yeast and 1 cup of dextrose for priming) and stir. Then return pot to stove and boil for 15 minutes (watch and stir pot often, it can boil-over). Add mixture to fermenter. Then add cool water to 3/4 fill fermenter. Add yeast and then airlock. The brew may not clear fully when it's finished fermenting, just look for a slow down in bubbling, waiting an extra day or two won't hurt to be sure its complete. Once its done, rack brew into bucket, add water to fill (20L), add 1 cup of dextrose, stir a little, then bottle.
