I tried some Rickard's White recently, I loved it. I thought to myself...this can't be too hard to simulate. After a few hours of surfing I created this recipe to try (New Recipe), well not exactly the same recipe, I used 5 cups of dextrose, and 2 cups of Wheatlets and oatmeal (I had to rack a few times to remove all the crap). I could have used the other recipes that I found, but would have broken the "Cheap" rule of this site, so to stay within budget I substituted some ingredient's. Not really as white or tasty as I had hoped, but hey, it is the cheap version after all. Next time I will use white sugar (8 cups) and only 1/2 cup of Wheatlets and 1/4 cup of Oatmeal OR just go to the brewery store and pickup a can of wheat malt for $20. I think the higher levels of wheatlets and oatmeal absorbed too much of the Malt and Alcohol.
