Neutral Sugar Wash, Turbo Yeast #1

I wanted to try my hand at making some Neutral Sugar Wash (A.K.A. Light Vodka). So off I went to the local brewery store, they didn't have distillers yeast as this recipe asks for (Neutral Sugar Wash), so I had to use Turbo Yeast (Still Spirits, Classic, 240g, $8). I didn't need to buy anything else but sugar ($8), since it contains DAP. The other things added were a pinch of sea salt and 1/2 tsp of concentrated lemon juice (had these at home already). Turbo Yeast package stated to start the brew at 30°C and not to let it to go above 23°C while fermenting (my brew is about 18°C). I was going to only use 1/4 of the turbo yeast (as I read online it won't need to be carbon filtered, but will take twice the time), but I decided to try 1/2 to see how it would turn out, plus I don't have the patience to wait. Fermented in 14 days, then another day to settle some more. Racked into another water cooler bottle, added Super-Kleer K.C. (fining, contains kieselsol and chitosan, $3), states it should clear within 48 hours, I let it sit 4 days, then carbon filtered twice (used the carbon filter I made, $6). I tried White Rum and Rye Whiskey essence, both are a good drink, but not really like the real thing. I think my wash was still a little sweet and it also could of been carbon filtered more.
