1832 - February 12, I, James Bracewell, being weak in body but sound in mind make this my last will and testament. Article 1. The following of my sons are appointed as my executors. Burwell W. Bracewell, James M. Bracewell, Duncan L. C. Bracewell. Article 2. My executors are to take charge of my property and manage it to support the family and pay my debts. Article 3. As soon as my debts are paid they are to divide the property as follows, my son James M Bracewell, having received his share of land by deed of gift, the balance of my land is to be divided between my other four sons, Burnwell (sic) W., Joseph L., Duncan L. C. and Thomas J. Bracewell. Article 4. All the remainder of my estate is to be divided equally between all my children, Burnwell (sic) W., Joseph L., James M., Duncan C., and Thomas J. Bracewell. Article 5. Since Thomas J. Bracewell is a minor, his share is to be held in trust by the executors and paid to him at age twenty-one. Article 6. All my children, and their families are to cross the river on my ferry free of charge, as long as it is owned by any of them. Article 7. Signed James Bracewell 12 Feb 1832.
