I Lucinda Braswell being old & well stricken in years deem it my duty to make arrangements for death & to dispose of what property a kind Providence has blessed me with. 1st It is my wish and desire that when I die I may be buried in as decent a manner as my circumstances in life will justify. 2nd It is my wish and desire that all my wearing apparel be divided equally between my three daughters Sarah Ann Mullis - Matilda Hobbs & Roxy Ann Faircloth & that Matilda Hobbs shall have my large chest. 3rd - I give & bequeath unto my Son Robert H. Braswell my bed with trip-- bedtrik (?) bedstead & furniture. 4th - I give and bequeath unto my son James D. Braswell one bed with whi- - bedtrik (?) bedstead & furniture together with all my household & kitchen furniture not heretofore named - 5th I give and bequeath unto my son James D Braswell one mare & colt - all my stock of hogs & cattle together with the mark & brand of the same. And also all my blacksmith tools with the condition that my son Robert shall have full use of the said tools as long as he lives in convenient distance to James. 6th - I hereby appoint Robert H & James D Braswell my executors to execute & carry into effect my wishes contained in this my last Will & testament.

Came into open Court of this regular Term of the Court James T. Coombs and David H. Coombs and being duly sworn depose that they saw Lucinda Braswell sign and publish the within as her last will and testament while of sound and disposing mind - that they witnessed the same for her at her request and in her presence and of each other and saw E B Barrett witness the same for her at her request in presence of deponents and testatrix and that the same was executed voluntarily by her on the day it purports to have been executed - D H Coombs
