Braswell Sen came before me one of the Justices for said county
and made oath that he heard Sarah Hunt say on her death bed
about the 20th of december last in her proper sences that her will
and desire was that Jesse Hunt should have two old cows and one heifer
and that if Henry Long ever returned from the war her will was that
he should have three cows and one pewter bason, one bed, two
gowns and one coat, and in case that if the said Long never returnes
from the war her will was that the Said three shall go to her
daughter Dicey Hunt and the bed and bason to Dicey Hunt's daughter
Morning and the cloths above mentioned to her son Jesse Hunt and
that she gave the remainder of her household furniture to her daughter
Dicey Hunt and the remainder of her clothing and that she gave her
wareing hat to her daughter Sarah Braswell. Also the day above mentioned
Judith Hunt came before me and made oath that she was present at the
time the above mentioned legacies was given as before mentioned and that she
heard Sarah Hunt say that her will was that her young cattle not al-
ready given should be equally divided between her son Jesse Hunt and her
daughter Dicey Hunt and that she gave one bed sted to her daughter
Dicey Hunt. As witness my hand the day and date above mentioned.

1759 John Long's Will (Believed to be the father of the above Sarah Hunt)
In the Name of God Amen. I John Long Being Sick and weak
of Body but of a perfect sence and Memory Praise be to God
for it, I do make this to be my last Will and Testament, In Manner
and form following, first I beQueath my Sole to God Whough gave
it me. Hoping through the Mearits of Jesus Christ, to Receive pardon
of all my sines and as for my Worldly Gifts (?) God -
Hath Endorsed me with, I Dispose of as followeth, - - -
I give and beQueath to my son John Long, a parcel of Land
containing one Hundred Acres, being the Manner Plantation, I
give and beQueath to my son Henry Long a Parcel of Land contain-
ing one Hundred Acres, Lying on the Bever Dam branch one the
south side, I lend to my Loving Wife Prudence Long my still
for the space twelve years. from this Date, and then to Return
to two sons, an Equal part - With paying fourty shillings
current money of Virginia to Each Daughter or their Heirs as
shall be a Living to Demand it at the time, And all the Rest of
My - Movable Estate to be lent to my Loving Wife During her
Widow Hood and if she marries, to Have a third Part, and the Rest
to be Divided a Mong all my Children and Make and order
My Loving Wife my Whole and Sole Exct---
