Co. to Zelpha Braswell, orphan of Abner Braswell, dec'd, county aforesaid for 5 shillings, a tract of land on the south side of Tar River and on Hendricks Creek beginning at a post oak in Charles Knight's line then running south 49 west 40 poles with said line to a post oak and dead pine said Knight's corner then with said Knight's line north 20 west 59 poles to a post oak in said Knight's other corner then with said line south 2 east 180 poles to two black gums standing in aforesaid creek then down the various courses of said creek to a poplar Shadrack Collins corner then with said Collins line north 32 east 121 poles to a lightwood stake in said line then north 75 west to beginning, containing 129 ½ acres, excepting my present wife's thirds or dower interest in said land, signed Henry Adams, Wit: Jo Bell, Starling Waller.
