Pulaski County} In the Name of God Amen I Mary A. Bostick of the County aforesaid, being weak and feeble in body, but of sound and disposing mind and memory, do hereby make publish and declare this to be my last Will and testament, hereby revoking all other instruments of writing which I may heretofore have made to convey any part of my property. Item 1st. I do hereby ordain and appoint James M. Bracewell and Burwell W. Bracewell Executors to this my last Will and testament. 2nd. After my death, it is my will and desire that my said Executors take possession of all my property both real and personal, and make or cause to be made the following division of the same. 3rd. I do give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Caroline Virginia Pitts her heirs and assigns for ever the following named Negros (to wit) Berry a man,Reuben a man, Jackson a boy, Abraham a boy, Henry a boy, Eliza a girl, and Ellen a girl. Also I give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Caroline V. the one half of my household furniture. 4th. I do hereby give and bequeath unto my beloved son-in-law James M. Bracewell, in trust and for the use of my beloved Grand=Daughter Mary Martha Bracewell, her heirs and assigns forever, the following named negro slaves: Charles a man, Leave a man, Rhesa a man,Leonidas a boy, Jinny a woman, and Cornelius a boy. Also I give and bequeath unto the said James M. in trust as aforesaid for the said Mary M. the one half of my house=hold furniture. 5th. It is my will and desire that the said James M. Bracewell take charge of the said last mentioned negros and household furniture, and any other I may hereafter bequeath to him in trust for the said Mary M. and manage the same until the said Mary M. arrives at the age of twenty one years or marries, then to deliver the said property unto the said Mary M. Bracewell. 6th. It is my will and desire that in the event of the death of my Grand-daughter Mary M. Bracewell, without issue alive of her body, that all the property herein bequeathed to her be, and I do hereby give and bequeath the same (in that event) to the said James M. Bracewell his heirs and assigns forever. 7th. It is my will and desire that my said Executors sell all the land I may die possessed of, or have a legal claim to at my death, and divide the proceeds equally between my said Daughter Caroline V. Pitts and the said James M. Bracewell, in trust as aforesaid for my Grand-daughter Mary M. Bracewell.

1835 Personally appeared Robert N. Taylor who being duly sworn deposeth and on oath saith that he subscribed the annexed last Will and testament of Mary A. Bostwick in her presence and in the presence of Michael Keyes and Thomas J. Bracewell as witnesses and that the said Mary A. Bostick in their presence on the day the same bears date signed sealed published and declared the same to be her last Will and testament previous to and at the time of their subscribing their names as witnesses thereto.
