A quick way to reach IE 'LAN Settings'
Post date: 31-Jan-2012 06:45:58
Very often many of us change our IE's proxy server settings to switch between the work environment and to access Internet. Most of us follow these steps - IE > Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings
How about a shortcut which can directly open the IE's 'Connections' tab ? Follow these steps...
1. Open Run dialogue (Win + R)
2. Type control inetcpl.cpl,,4 Make sure you typed two commas. 4 indicates the Connections tab. The index starts from 0.
3. Now hit Alt + L to open the ‘LAN Settings’ window.
4. Hit Alt + X which toggles the Proxy Server settings.
Do it for a couple of times. You'll be used to it.
