Extracting images from web pages

Medical imaging centres are beginning to adopt online image access. But it looks like sometimes it's not possible to actually get the images off easily, because they don't provide an export capability.

Firefox

Firefox has some ability to show the files using the Inspector.

    1. Start inspector with CTRL-SHIFT-I

    2. Network

    3. Disable Cache

    4. Filter: jpg

    5. Right-click image

    6. Choose Open in New Tab

Chrome and Edge

Using Nirsoft ChromeCacheView or MZCacheView or ImageCacheView

These Nirsoft apps may also work - noting that sometimes the image resources aren't treated as normal web page images by the web page. Sometimes the images are decoded in other objects (like SVG) so they aren't captured by ImageCacheView, in which case they are still viewable in the normal CacheView tools.
