A broad reddish stripe behind the ear will make this Red Eared Slider easily distinguishable from other turtles in our area. Its shell will be unkeeled and have a brilliant array of green colors on its shell and skin. In rare cases, the red stripe will be replaced with a yellow stripe. In even rarer cases, this stripe will be completely black, but it will also affect the entire pigment of the shell itself - having black stripes or an entire black turtle.
