Fauvist Landscape- Paper

Seventh Graders learned a bit of Color Theory while discovering the beginnings of Modern Art. Discussing color's psychological effect, students considered how they might use color as the artists associated with the artistic movement Fauvism had- with wild freedom! Looking at contemporary painter Richard Mahew, students experimented with bringing emotion to a landscape through color and abstraction. Some worked digitally and others chose to work on paper.
