The History of Greeting Cards & Gratitude

Working together with Tony Jacobs and their Service class, 4th-graders made these wonderful Thanksgiving cards for the Sisters at Oakwood. Students learned about the history of greeting cards and were then asked to design a card using a tree motif. The tree is a symbol for family and connection, as well as Oakwood. Students thought about gratitude and what was important in their lives and made these beautiful heartfelt cards.
