Visual Haiku

Beloved SHS community member Sister Dolan visited second semester Sixth Graders as a special guest artist. During the pandemic, Sister Dolan and a small group of others in the SHS community stayed connected by writing and sharing haiku poetry. To celebrate the arrival of spring, students used Sister Dolan's work as inspiration to create a "visual haiku" by writing a haiku poem and creating three photographs to represent the lines of text.
