2nd graders learned to weave with paper and yarn.

They made their looms in Hub and practiced the skill until they got it just right.

Paper weaving turned out to be a great introduction to yarn. We looked at woven fabric. such as Kente Cloth, and the traditions associated with it. Mexican woven fabrics were also very inspiring. It took a lot of hand-eye coordination to make this work, which is excellent practice for growing brains!
