Tiny Protesters 'Say Something'
'Say Something' - Use art to make a difference.
Your voice matters. You can change the world. What would you say?
In this project, we read the book 'Say Something', and looked at several well-known children who use their voices and stand up for what they believe in. Examples were; Greta Thunberg, Malala Yousafzai, Mari Copeny, Asean Johnson, and local activist Ashlyn So.
Previously we had looked at the proportions of the human body, and with that in mind, 4th graders made small figures out of modeling clay to protest their cause. The next part was making a small protest sign and then learning to use the program Pixlr,(https://pixlr.com/) to edit their tiny protester into a background. Together we made this awesome piece below, sharing our passion for activism and aiming to make the world a better place.
