This is is up to you, though the Global Opportunities application pack offers clear guidance. But you might include some of the following:
Why you want to go abroad
Why you want to go to one region / country specifically
How you would benefit from the experience academically and personally
Why you would be a good candidate
Why you would be a good ambassador for Sheffield while abroad
You have two options for submitting your personal statement: text or a video
Due to the character limit for written statements and the length limit for videos, you won't be able to cover everything in depth, so decide what matters to you and discuss your application with your tutor and with Global Opportunities to help you decide what to include.
Please, visit the Global Opportunities pages at https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/globalopps.
It is also advisable to attend one of the events organised by the Global Opportunities Team (https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/globalopps/events).
For academic queries, please, contact Prof Eric Olson (e.olson@sheffield.ac.uk ), for administrative queries, please, contact studentexperienceteamphi@sheffield.ac.uk .
