In Dewaaro ke Beech Main

ARGUMENTATIVE QUESTION: The fort wall today draws a line marking the inside and the outside. Although the space outside has lost its ecosystem due to the newly built promenade, the fort wall itself have their respective ecosystems which do respond to each other.  The materials used and the absence of any shading device, on the promenade do not allow harsh sunlight to be absorbed rather it reflects the heat , resulting in high surface temperatures. This makes the space barren and devoid of any flow. How can the space outside also harness an ecosystem of its own which with the passage of time starts to create and become a part of the larger ecosystem.

ARGUMENTATIVE DRAWINGS:

SITE:

The parking outside the fort wall facing the Moti Daman Beach.

SITE SELECTION: The space which is designed for parking has barren soil which does not sustain any lifeform or flow nor is the space widely used for parking. This space also sees a lot of dogs that roam aimlessly and suffer the heat, also the site happens between the two privately owned spaces where entry is regulated. Under these circumstances the site provides a great opportunity for a space which allows an ecosystem.

INTENT: The environment or the vegetation in particular needs time and certain conditions to bloom by itself hence  the space will try to change level of engagement of the human with this space thus creating co existence between the two, which will give time and adequate conditions for the ecosystem to build on its own.
