3/30 Week Nine: Personality Neuroscience

Get Ready for an Amazing Semester Ahead 🌼

Welcome back from your well-deserved spring break! Classes resume April 2nd. We've missed your presence, your unique perspectives, and your enthusiasm for learning.  So, mark your calendars for April 2nd and join us for an amazing class.

We went over COVID-19, and particularly Long COVID, require additional studies to bring greater clarity to causes and effective treatments. Research suggests that between one month and one year after having COVID-19, 1 in 5 people ages 18 to 64 has at least one medical condition that might be due to COVID-19. Among people aged 65 and older, 1 in 4 has at least one medical condition that might be due to COVID-19. There are many symptoms of Long COVID, including brain fog, memory loss, respiratory and heart impacts, neurological and digestive challenges, and more. If you feel that you may be experiencing Long COVID, keep track of your symptoms and reach out to a trusted health care professional.

Personality neuroscience is the science that studies individual psychological differences with the intention of understanding the neurobiological mechanisms and the impact on behavior.  This lesson will include personality traits, the research, and applications of this new field of science.
