2/03 Week Two: Getting Started

Happy Week Two!

Dear Students,

Welcome, all students! It was truly a pleasure seeing students in our first class of the semester. For those who may have missed our orientation, worry not! You can catch up on all the essential information in our Week One lesson, conveniently available on our class website. As we dive into Week Two, we're excited to continue our exploration of the program and share more insights with you. Over the next 18 weeks, we'll cover a wide range of information.

Last week (1/31 Week 1, Orientation, and Introduction)

It was wonderful to meet many of you last week during our orientation sessions.  Our semester is off to a great start with positive energy, teamwork, collaboration, and a common commitment to learning. We are very optimistic about what we can do together to optimize our brain health. If you were unable to attend the session or would like to review, the orientation lesson is posted on our Brain Fitness Basics class website and you may access it at any time. There is a recording of the class for week one (orientation session); make sure you see it. It is full of important information.

This Week (2/5 Week Two, Getting Started)

This week we will become more comfortable with the two websites we use for this class, and a few more reminders about getting started in the brain-training exercise program BrainHQWe will discuss the ideal ergonomics when working in your device, the history of BrainHQ (Posit Science), consider research on the effectiveness of the exercises, and review the six BrainHQ exercise categories.  We will compare using the Personal Trainer to selecting individual exercises.  Various help options will also be examined.

It's easy to access our Zoom sessions and we highly recommend and encourage you to attend this week to learn all about the class and our websites and why brain fitness is important.
