1/26 Week One: Brain Fitness Basics Welcome Email

Welcome to the Brain Fitness Basics (Spring 2024) class

Welcome to Basics! If you receive this email, you are enrolled and officially part of our Basics class in Spring 2024. Whether you are a returning student or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to have you on board. Over the next 18 weeks, you will delve into various aspects of our brain fitness program. 

The Spring Semester will start on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. However, Thursday, February 1st is our first Basics class! Tuesday attendees, join us on Thursday 10:00 am for the start of week one. See you there! Please mark this date on your calendars and ensure you are prepared to attend class. Brain Fitness Basics is a virtual class and is a fantastic experience.

You will receive additional information regarding how to attend our classes soon.

Basics Zoom Sessions 

Tuesdays 9:00 - 10:30 am (Yael Lorberfeld, Instructor)

 

Thursdays 10:00 - 11:30 am (occasional in person meeting at JCC) (Yael Lorberfeld, Instructor)

 

Brain HQ lab (all welcome) 

Tuesdays 12:30 - 2:00 (Yael Lorberfeld, Instructor)

 

In Brain Fitness Basics, your instructor will explain the program to you and help you understand how to use and navigate our class website with all its resources. They will also introduce you to an amazing, evidence-based brain training program called BrainHQ and teach you how to access and use it.

You will begin receiving weekly emails from Ericka Peralta starting this week (be sure to check your Junk Mail folder if you don’t see the email). These emails introduce the weekly lessons and provide links to what you will need. This coming weekend’s email will also give you information about the first day of class.

As a Brain Fitness Basics student, you have the choice of attending either of the Brain Fitness Basics Zoom sessions (virtual class sessions) that are offered. You don’t have to sign up separately for them—you simply attend. If you do choose to attend a Zoom session they are optional.
