Free mental health webinar via Zoom

The Emeritus department (and Brain Fitness instructors) are hosting a webinar on Friday, March 15, from 10 - 11:30 a.m. Be Well will deliver this webinar, an SDCCE department committed to the mental health of students and faculty. The talk will focus on older adults and the unique challenges they face. It will also provide several resources in the community that are offered through SDCCE.

Last Week:  Attending to Attention with a Focus on Focusing

In our last class, we delved into the concept of attention as a crucial cognitive function. Attention is defined as the process of being aware of one's surrounding environment and utilizing this awareness to carry out tasks essential for daily living, such as planning, organizing, and managing. 

 


This Week:  The Basics of Brain Anatomy, Function and Brain Processes 

A look at the brain, as we discuss the many elements of brain anatomy and function which we will go back to during our lessons.
