LMS Exploratories
Hey all,
Your Lansdowne Exploratory teachers are passionate about what they teach, and we know that many of you are passionate about what we teach you! We don't think a season of COVID-19 should stop us from teaching or you from learning. So your exploratory teachers will be uploading weekly assignments to this webpage over the upcoming months. Keep checking back here for updates as you desire, or as your home school teacher demands. :)
On each of the exploratory pages, you will find your teacher's name and email address. Get in touch with us if you have any questions, want feedback, or just want to say hi! If you have feedback for us about any of these assignments, we're open to hearing from you in terms of how we can improve them, what you liked about them, and so forth.
Just a few notes:
These assignments are not mandatory. We won't be checking up on you or evaluating your work to grade you. However, we would love to work together with you on your projects and celebrate what you have accomplished. You can take a photo of what you're working on and email it to us, or tag it to the school's Instagram account.
These exploratory assignments are open to all students in the school. We're not saying these are just for the students currently in a specific exploratory, or due to rotate into one. These are for all. Enjoy 'em.
Choose what you want, and do what you like. If you're loving the art assignments, do them all. Or do a few of this or that. Or heck, feel free to modify an assignment as well; Personalize it for your own context. We want you to enjoy these opportunities and to try out a bunch of them. Life is more fun when you explore new things.
Don't stress about any of these assignments. Sometimes when you try something new, it doesn't go how you envisioned it. That's okay. Read through the instructions again and push through it. Or give it some time and come back to it. Either way, be gracious with yourself. Learning new skills can be frustrating, but mastering a new skill more than makes up for the frustration along the way.
Finally, know that you are missed. We enjoy our work, and sharing our classrooms with you. We wish that we were continuing to learn together, and look forward to when that is possible again. In the meantime, keep in touch!
