Active Supervision is a Proactive Practice that assists staff in creating a positive physical and emotional setting where students are encouraged to actively engage both socially and academically.
Active Supervision involves purposeful movement, scanning, and inteaction with students to promote engagement and ensure safety. This ongoing presence communicates care, helps anticipate needs, and allows for timely support and feedback.
Be where students are, see what students need, and respond before problems grow.

Safety Drill Expectations
Establishing clear safety-drill procedures helps schools respond quickly, calmly, and consistently during an emergency. When staff and students already know what to do, where to go, and who is responsible for each step, there is less confusion and more time to focus on keeping everyone safe.
Well-defined procedures also:
Support an orderly response across classrooms, common areas, and transitions.
Reduce panic by allowing people to practice before a real emergency occurs.
Identify gaps in the school’s safety plan so they can be corrected early.
