I like this style of illustration as it uses that sort of grainy effect which i have always found visually appealing in terms of how it's used for shadows and highlights. Specifically about this piece, I like the fact each artwork is monochromatic but still manages to present a foreground, mid-ground and a background. The artist hasn't used line art which i personally want to try as i feel it would be something different to learn as i have done line art once or twice in the past. The things i would extract from these artworks would be the level of detail and the fact that it does not use line art. They have an effect that they were almost drawn by a pencil on paper which sort of enhances the visuals of the piece.

On the Friday of week 4, i was struggling with how i wanted my environment to look. Ange suggested that i take to google images and photo bash a quick environment together out of random images. At first i found this process challenging as i literally didn't know what sort of images i wanted to use, however once i started, i was enjoying getting to quickly mock up this environment.
