Indigo Garden aims to intersect two landscapes - one of dry Australian plants and one of underwater coral life. I want to highlight the similarities in coral species and Australian flora in a fantastical, stylised way with exaggerated shapes and neon colours.
I want to try and intersect two landscapes - one of Australian plants and flora and one of underwater coral life.

I want to highlight the similarities in coral species and Australian flora in a fantastical, stylized way with exaggerated shapes and neon colours.
I took inspiration from the planet landscapes of Pandora, Avatar (2009) and its illuminated bioluminescent lights and plants, as well as the desert landscapes from the set of The Croods (2013).
This image has some really interesting hybrid plants that have been stylised and exaggerated. I love the use of colour and interesting shapes.
This is something I want to replicate.
This image showcases the bioluminescent colour palette that I am attracted to.
Using neons to highlight the coral creates a really cool effect - reminiscent of a fish tank.
Even though this image appears to be taken from the Avatar game, you can see that the species in Pandora's jungle look like coral.
Very similar to the idea that I am wanting to create - yet opposite. They took coral species and placed them in a jungle setting, whereas I will be taking flora from dry landscapes and depicting them submerged underwater.

Creating the coral. I stylised an image of some coral in my house, trying to simplify the amount of information in the shape to its basic form.
Most of the brushes I used were pencil or gouache.

Previous Project work.
For project 1 we were tasked with an advertising campaign for Oatly with the objective to increase the presence of their brand in Australia. They are known for their oat milk products but lesser-known in the ice-cream section.
I created the campaign 'Discover How Masterpieces Are Made'. My intention was to create an authentic, witty campaign that highlighted the advantages of oats as a substitute for dairy products.

Fuzzy is a conceptual magazine offering a visual exploration of nostalgia.
Nostalgia is a feeling that can often be indescribable, my magazine will be an attempt to ādescribe the indescribableā and visualise the feeling of nostalgia. This idea came about from personal exploration of my own memories and analysing why I and how I felt during this process.
