Brief
Tasked with creating something based on what inspires us I thought deeply into where my creative drive comes from. Knowledge and imagination is what fuels my passion as a designer and is also relevant outside of design.
‘the BIG swim’ is a window into my identity as a designer where I wish to engage with viewers by representing 2 elements I find important in design: Knowledge & Imagination.
I work in a pet shop where knowledge is key, I have learnt a lot from this job and I am particularly interested in fish and educating customers about how to maintain a sustainable pond or aquarium. In ‘the BIG swim’ I will use fish as a symbol for my knowledge.
I have always had a great imagination however I find myself jumping from concept to concept and thinking of new ideas which isn’t always a good thing and is something I am improving on as a designer. I view the theme of ‘space’ to be a good representation of my imagination as like space, imagination is endless and is yet to be fully explored.

Florasaurs is about bringing fragile and ferocious together. Wildflowers and dinosaurs have very little in common besides being billions of years old and captivating audiences with both beauty and intrigue.
Florasaurs is aimed to give viewers a mesmerising experience by showing how opposites can harmonise into stunning pieces of art encouraging the audience to explore the new WA museum and its dinosaur exhibit as well as to seek out the true hidden treasures of WA; The wildflowers and their many locations around the state.
