Gyalpozhing College of Information Technology (GCIT), under the Royal University of Bhutan (RUB), follows a structured and transparent admission system aligned with the Admission Policy Manual of the Royal University of Bhutan (2021). This process is further refined by GCIT’s own operational framework, as detailed in the GCIT Admission Process.
Admission Requirements and Procedures:
• Minimum Qualification: Successful completion of the Bhutan Higher Secondary Education Certificate (BHSEC) or equivalent with required subjects for the programme.
Programme-Specific Criteria:
• Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS): Requires strong performance in Mathematics and English.
• Bachelor of Interactive Design and Development (BIDD): Emphasizes creativity, communication skills, and basic computing awareness (Gyalpozhing College of Information Technology, 2023).

1. Application Review: Open to all eligible Class XII graduates.

As part of its commitment to academic excellence and lifelong learning, GCIT maintains and nurtures its alumni network through a structured alumni management process guided by the Royal University of Bhutan’s frameworks.
6.4.1 Alumni Profile Maintained
Objective:
To maintain an accurate and up-to-date alumni database to support institutional advancement, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
Implementation:
GCIT uses the RUB-IMS Alumni Management Module (AMM) to systematically collect, store, and manage alumni data, including graduation year, degree program, employment status, and contact details.
Registration is facilitated at the point of graduation and through a dedicated alumni self-service portal, with optional subscription services for academic materials.
Data is reviewed and updated regularly through alumni outreach campaigns and communication from the Student Services Office.
