Post-Accreditation Summary
The post-accreditation phase is a vital continuation of the institutional accreditation process, emphasizing sustained quality enhancement and institutional improvement. As per the Institutional Accreditation Manual issued by BQPCA, accredited Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are required to undertake structured activities in alignment with the recommendations provided in their accreditation reports.
A key requirement is the submission of an Implementation Plan within six months of accreditation, detailing how the institution will address the assessors’ recommendations. For GCIT, CNR, and Sherubtse College, this deadline falls on December 6, 2025, following their accreditation on June 6, 2025.
Furthermore, institutions must submit an Institutional Quality Assurance Report (IQAR) by the midpoint of the accreditation validity period — on or before June 6, 2027. The IQAR evaluates the progress of implementation and forms a critical component for re-accreditation consideration. Guidance for preparing these submissions is outlined in the Post-Accreditation Manual and Annexure XVI.
