At Gyalpozhing College of Information Technology (GCIT), leadership meetings play a crucial role in ensuring effective governance, strategic planning, and operational efficiency. These meetings bring together executive leadership, academic and non-academic team leads to align institutional goals, review ongoing initiatives, and provide direction for semester activities.
Types of Leadership Meetings
1. Executive and Team Leads Meetings
• Involves senior administrators, department heads, and functional leads (academic and non-academic).
• Focuses on high-level decision-making, strategic initiatives, and policy implementation.
• Ensures alignment with Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) policies and institutional objectives.
2. Academic and Non-Academic Team Meetings
• Academic Team Leads: Discuss curriculum updates, faculty development, student performance, and research initiatives.
• Non-Academic Team Leads: Address operational efficiency, administrative functions, student services, and campus infrastructure.
• Encourages collaborative engagement between different departments for institutional success.
3. Strategic Planning Meetings
• Conducted periodically to assess long-term goals, financial planning, and institutional growth strategies.
• Covers areas such as budget allocation, faculty recruitment, research priorities, and technological advancements.
• Involves stakeholder consultations, data-driven decision-making, and performance evaluations.
4. Semester Planning and Update Meetings
• Provides direction for the semester’s academic and extracurricular activities.
• Includes planning for course schedules, assessments, faculty workload, student engagement, and academic calendar synchronization.
• Addresses financial planning, Student Service Office (SSO) operations, and resource management to ensure smooth execution.
