I am a big fan of snacks. So I decided to take a poll of all highschool students here at RRMR. The first question I asked was what flavor of snack they prefer? With the most common answer being a combination of sweet and salty, and the second most common being just sweet snacks. Then next question I asked was when the students like to eat the snacks? This was a close one with the top two being the afternoon and late night. I also found that the majority of the students buying the snacks in the flavor, not the brand or price. The last question I asked was If they share the snacks and if they do, how often? The most common responses were sometimes and often, with a close third was never. This was a interesting poll for finding out students snack habits.

I interviewed 4 random students here at school. My question to them was what is your least favorite household chore. These were their answers.
Cutter Harris-
Washing dishes
Caden Woltjer-
Doing the laundry
Kyler Eskildsen-
Doing the dishes
Josiah Bly-
Making his bed
What I noticed from these interviews was that most guys here at RRMR have the same thought process when it comes to what their least favorite chore is and my answer would probably have to be doing laundry as well.

In this weeks blog post we are writing about a place in my hometown that matters to me. To me that place is Dollar General. They first planned on putting the store in town in October of 2023 and they built it and had it open later that December. Knowing that the closest store besides the gas station is in Charles City, this was a great addition to the town of Rockford. You can get things there cheaper than the gas station and it has more variety.
I conducted an interview with Sam Boehmer From Rockford High School. The first question I asked him was how he first discovered the new Dollar General. He said that he didn't know about it until he drove by it. The next question I asked him was what he likes most about the store and he said "I can get things for cheap." Going off of that I asked him what this first thing he bought from the store and he replyed with pretzels. That answer kind of goes into the last question as well when I asked how Dollar General plays a role in our community. His answer to that was "It provides more options for people when they want cheaper stuff." Dollar General was a great addition to the town of Rockford and I'm glad to see it grow.
