Went to NIACC and wanted to be an Ag teacher, chickened out before attending Iowa State because of distance from home. Ended up becoming a director of special education and an elementary teacher. Being a teacher made me want to pursue an Agriculture career.
2. The people and the kids and getting to see people I know, especially my kids.
3. Middle School Science just because they are a bigger class and finding the balance between hands-on activities and out of the book work.
4. The kids that are starting to become active in FFA and the support of all the teachers here.
5. Any of the Special Education classes and Case Training which taught me how to learn about hands-on activities.
6. I would say spend as much time as you can in classrooms now but know that you cannot be an expert in everything about agriculture.
7. Pretty laid back, like to have fun, and want to make sure it is a safe environment for everyone.
8. Caring, hardworking, and energetic. (with the help of her Science students!)
9. Yes! I love farming, animals, cattle, interested in life sciences, and really have always been passionate about Ag leadership.
