The Fossil Park located just outside of Rockford, Iowa, concludes of acres of native Iowa prairie. My connection to this place includes my family and I always going out there in the summer time, enjoying the warm weather and going on walks with our dogs. We always explored the Fossil Park as little kids, venturing through the woods and constantly looking for fossils.
As a teenager, my friends and I would find a quarry located just into the first entrance of this park, and swim there all day in the summer time, enjoying the lukewarm water but it was mostly cold most days!
My family and I have spent a lot of time here in this area and have made many memories along the way.

I like how it is an adventure and you get to explore while looking for fossils, and also being able to find things I have never seen before.

I have made many memories but my favorite one is going there to swim in the summer and when me and my friends almost fell down the big mountain there.

I usually don't go there often and usually only in the summer. But when I do, I make sure to have the most fun I can!
