A little bit about me! I'm part of the Yearbook & Communication class, I love giving Positive criticism, and taking photos at our school events! On this blog, I'll be sharing stories about student interests, and activities in and out of school!
Outside of class, I enjoy listening to music, and watching Bailey Sarien and her Murder Mystery And Makeup Mondays! I’m excited to update you on what’s happening in our school and community!

Responses reflect 33 out of 98 10th, 11th, and 12th graders surveyed!
25% of the 33 responses listen to country music to and from school! The results matched my critical thinking because I did expect the majority of the students at RRMR listen to country music. My preference for music is other because I listen to a variety of music!

I interviewed five random students from RRMR about their favorite flavors of ice cream. My reaction to three of the five responses was surprising because of their different answers. My favorite flavor of ice cream is Oreo Chocolate Chip ice cream.

The Fossil & Prairie park is a childhood memory for me because getting to experience the scenery of the reserve and the fossils beneath your feet that you can easily find. It's a very core memory I remember as a child.
The Fossil and Prairie Preserve is a county park located on the outskirts of Rockford, Iowa. Before it became a fossil park, it was a clay company that closed business in 1976 due to the finding of fossils from the Devonian period which was 419.2 to 358.9 million years ago. In 1990, Floyd County bought the historical land and they created the land as a park preserve. Presently, the operating hours are from sunrise to sunset. Approximately thousands of people visit this reserve per year and explore the two remaining kilns that are left. Many people find fossils and take the fossils home. This preserve is unique because being able to walk around in the preserve where millions of fossils lie and being able to take a piece of history home.
“The first time I was ever there was when my daughter was on a field trip from her elementary school and I was called because she got sick. That was my first experience, but I've been there since and have actually enjoyed my time there. It's a lovely place."

“Seeing everyone, everyday.”
Talking to Aubrey makes me realize how precious high school is and making memories and learning to grow as a person is a crucial part of high school, especially your senior year.

I interviewed three Rockford past and present students about prom. And in my opinion, I'm most excited about after prom and getting a free massage.
Why are you not attending?
"I choose not to go because i'd rather work."
"It's ridiculous to spend a lot of money for one night."
"What are you most looking forward to?"
"Taking photos."
What do you remember most about your prom experience?
"My favorite memory was at after prom when my friends, my mom, and I took photos using funny props. Such as mustaches and capes, at the photo booth."
Prom took effect during the pre-war period around WWI.
The average cost per child from prom is 919$.
The idea of Prom can help kids get out of their shells and put themselves out there.
In my opinion, Prom has a lot of history that shows how important this universal event truly is to high schoolers.

4/15/25
what did you expect prom was going to be for your senior year?
"I thought prom was going to be amazing and fun."
My response to Aubrey's experience with prom is not surprising because prom is a fun event where everyone gets to dress up and have fun dancing. And my experience at prom was fun because I got a henna tattoo.
This week, we had to create our own blog post, and I chose Semester Testing. Because it is one of the most dreaded tests in high school. And its coming round the corner on May 21st to the 22nd.
4/28/25
What is your thought about semester testing?
" I don't really like it, but it's necessary."
How are you going to study for semester testing?
" Wing it, or glance at notes."
What semester test are you not prepared for?
" World History."
My comment is on how you are going to study for semester testing. I would organize times to study each semester test not burning myself out, and not cramming on all the tests in one night. And I am not surprised by Abby's answer to what semester test are you not prepared for? World History.
This week, we created a summer break blog post, and I did a survey with five questions to ask the upcoming seniors summer questions about their final summer, and how will they make this summer count for their last year of high school.
When responding to this question some people are going to work on investing in supplies, organizing, scholarships, and having a better mindset in the final stretch.
The fun actives ranged from :
Staying around home,
Visiting family,
School trip to Spain,
And school sports.
Responses reflect 13 out of 40 11th graders. My reaction to college visits was not surprising because the majority of the students work on farms. And my response to college visits is I already have a college I am committed to and the college I am going to is NIACC.
RRMR to me is; an experience
One word to describe RRMR ; is helpful
One word to describe RRMR ; its a life lesson
My reaction to the two responses was unsurprising because everyone has different points of view on school.
