Each week, teachers identify a student as the WOW student of the week. These students are highlighted for going above and beyond in some area. Teachers share the reason with the class. Each student gets a certificate, a coupon for a free donut from Donut Chain and has their picture shared in the flyer.
Note: If your student has dietary preferences that conflict with donuts, let me know and we have some alternatives.
Let's hear it for ...
Izaan Shaikh (Ortlieb), Annie Fraley (Lawrence), Sam Soave (Wong), Juniper Martinez (Hoffman), Elijah Reza (Leonard), Jaxon Benn-Lowry (Blankenship), Payton Pitcher (Ramos), Jaslyn Gonzalez (Garcia), Ryan Alassal (Fano), Natalia Garcia (Kiblinger), William Reese (Hanna), Ryan Rodriguez (Gill), Jayden Park (Seitz), Logan Bowen (Marasco), Christie Tran (Amaya), Nora Ng (Pipkin), Luciano Gianquento (Simmons/Cruz - 5th), Camden Humpres (Cruz/Simmons - 6th), Cody Kasper (Cruz/Simmons - 6th)
Check out these classes and their great attendance this week!
The district hosted a PTA Reflections showcase and the work was beautiful and impressive. Kids in PYL are incredibly talented. We had submissions from Wagner in visual arts, writing, 3D art creation, and film production! Check out the Wagner submissions this year!
This is not connected to PTA Reflections, but is wonderful in it's own right! Opening night for Artworks will be on Wednesday, April 1st. The show will run until it's closing reception on April 28th. Families of students who have art displayed in the show have been notified already. The show is recommnended for all!
We'd love to see you at the Wagner Open House!
It's time for the book fair! Please see the schedule below as well as information
We want to ensure all students, staff, and families are safe during drop off and pick up. Please stay in the designated drop off and pick up zones, follow traffic flow and speed limits, and stay alert to crosswalk areas.
Thank you for helping us create a safe environment for everyone.
Several of our wildcats joined other talented musician students from across the district to become part of the PYLUSD Honor Band and Orchestra. They put on a fantastic show on Monday night. We're so proud!
Congratulations and WOW to:
Trianna Pham (not picture, but definitely there!)
Davin Janicki
Jocelyn Barrera
Jayden Tirtawijaya
Penelope Ortega
Thank you PTA for sponsoring a visit from the Old Grove Mini Farmers Market! Farmer Grace and her crew came to teach all of our Wagner students about the benefits of different veggies and fruits. Then, all of the wildcats got to "shop" and take home a few different fruits and veggies to go home!
The students loved this experience, and the staff loved watching, too!
What produce did your child choose to take home? Ask them to find out, though some of them ate their items before they got home!
