Each week, teachers identify a student as the WOW student of the week. These students are highlighted for going above and beyond in some area. Teachers share the reason with the class. Each student gets a certificate, a coupon for a free donut from Donut Chain and has their picture shared in the flyer.
Note: If your student has dietary preferences that conflict with donuts, let me know and we have some alternatives.
Let's hear it for ...
Darcy Glover (Lawrence), Smarjeet Guchait (Wong), Bronson Ruiz (Hoffman), Lukas Rodriguez (Leonard), Leoxander Nava (Gonzalez), Zia Shah (Blankenship), Delaine Glover (Ramos), Benjamin Lynch (Garcia), Mirari Guzman Espinoza (Fano), Riley Lopez (Kiblinger), Daisy Perez (Hanna), Brianna Velediaz (Gill), Liam Sung (Seitz), Yousef Alassal (Marasco), Christie Tran (Amaya), Brixton Barba (Pipkin), Zoe McCabe (5th Grade Simmons/Cruz)
Wow, Wagner! Check out our awesome attendance week! It was so nice to see so many students back on campus after a long winter break. Especially wonderful was Wednesday and Thursday where we had fewer than 10 students absent each day!
We care about your students and love the interactions they get with each other and their learning they get when they are on campus.
Our new show has been announced! The 2026 Wagner Theater Production will be ... Aladdin!

Students worked hard to raise funds and participate in the jog-a-thon and we met our fundraising goals! That means it was time to pay the piper. I got slimed! Three student names were drawn from each K-6 class as the slimers. It was a fun community time and I'm grateful for the fundraising support at Wagner. Thank you! Shout out to PTA for organizing!
P.S. Bonus shout out to Mrs. Faber and Ms. Cruz for accepting slime hugs!
PYL will be hosting auditions for Elementary Honor Orchestra. Any strings students are welcome to try out!
We sent our 6th graders off to camp! They had a blast. No snow, but very cold weather and lots of fun! Students got to go off to a cabin adventure. They went on night hikes, ecology hikes, made pottery, dissected squids, learned about living fossils (reptiles!), participated in archery, had karaoke, skit, and movie nights, and so much more!
First grade dove into books with each other and explored fairy tales and fables together. We love seeing them grow as readers and learners!
4th grade students participated in Walk Through California History! They've been working hard: becoming experts in their categories, learning about how we became a state, and more. They put their learning - along with spirit and sportsmanship - on display today in Walk Through.
Can four and five year olds dive right back into learning after a two week break? They sure can! Check out our TKers working happily and diligently in their learning centers.
Go, fourth grade, go! We love seeing our students work together and share their thinking with each other as they learn!
Third graders in Mrs. Gill's class worked together to wind proof and test houses. How did their houses hold up? Some would have sent Dorothy to Oz and some will be standing in 100 years. Either way, we learn from the process!
