Each week, teachers identify a student as the WOW student of the week. These students are highlighted for going above and beyond in some area. Teachers share the reason with the class. Each student gets a certificate, a coupon for a free donut from Donut Chain and has their picture shared in the flyer.
Note: If your student has dietary preferences that conflict with donuts, let me know and we have some alternatives.
Let's hear it for ...
Jaime Swanson (Ortlieb), Evie Cloutier (Lawrence), Dominick Tellez (Wong), Liama Ortega (Hoffman), Roman Cornejo (Leonard), Jordie Zaha (Blankenship), Cayden Jeong (Ramos), Henry Tran (Garcia), Eleutheria Perez (Fano), Elena Carbajal (Kiblinger/Mora), Ethan Panek (Hanna), Ale Gonzalez (Gill), Mouad Ras (Seitz), Kristina Lusikyan (Marasco), Mia Pacheco (Amaya), Finn Kieczykowski (Pipkin), Olivia Quinones (Simmons/Cruz 5th), Elizabeth Shin (Cruz/Simmons 6th).

Fifth graders built on their fraction understanding with a little hands on learning by using legos to build and work with fractions.
TK students learn all sorts of skills - including how to help regulate our feelings and energy. Here they are practicing "belly breaths".
Tuffree representatives visited Wagner this week - including some of our very own alumnI! What a treat! They spoke with 6th grade about middle school and the drumline played for our students. Students even got to try out the instruments themselves!
What are counting collections? They are a hands on activities where children develop number sense, understand quantities, and foster a deeper understanding of numbers. Second graders engage in these regularly!
Second graders have been working hard on their writing skills. They share their writing with each other and practice giving and receiving feedback. Check them out!
