Each week, teachers identify a student as the WOW student of the week. These students are highlighted for going above and beyond in some area. Teachers share the reason with the class. Each student gets a certificate, a coupon for a free donut from Donut Chain and has their picture shared in the flyer.

Students join a team and read, read, read between October 13-March 27. Competition Days run between March 30-April 3. During this time, teams will be asked questions, Famiyl Feud style until we have a champion team. Teams will be given a set of books to share between the team and is responsible for returning the books. You can get more information and a permission slip here!

The CalKIDS Savings Program, administered by the ScholarShare Investment Board, provides children born in California with state-funded CalKIDS scholarships that can be used on qualified higher education expenses such as tuition, books, and computer equipment. All children born in California on or after July 1, 2022, are eligible for a scholarship, ranging from $25 to $175, regardless of income. Low-income students are eligible for scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,500. Scholarships are automatically created for eligible students, but must be claimed using the students’ Statewide Student Identifier. Our school counselor Mrs. Larson hosted a kindness card station at Monday. Students wrote messages of appreciation to other Wagner members and shared.

Crafts, taste tests, cider, stories and more! It's Apple Day! Students have been learning about the life cycle of apples and more. Which apple was the favorite? Ask your local second grader!
Wagner is community made up of students of different ages, different learning styles, and more, but we are all Wagner. Students in Mrs. Amaya's 4th - 6th grade class and our 6th graders from Mrs. Cruz and Miss Simmons's classes got together for community time together.
Our first graders are diving right into science with their plant unit! Students have been observing plants, planting different types of seeds, and predicting what will happen to their seeds.
