Each week, teachers identify a student as the WOW student of the week. These students are highlighted for going above and beyond in some area. Teachers share the reason with the class. Each student gets a certificate, a coupon for a free donut from Donut Chain and has their picture shared in the flyer.
Note: If your student has dietary preferences that conflict with donuts, let me know and we have some alternatives.
Let's hear it for ...

Get ready to wear your unique socks in support of Down Syndrome Awareness Day!
Why unique socks? Chromosomes are shaped like socks. Our community members that have down syndrome have three copies of the 21st chromosome. World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated worldwide on March 21st for this reason. That's a saturday, so we'll be celebrating on Friday!
Want to go see a baseball game? Why not go with other Wagner Families!
Preschool had a mini farm study for letter V week. They went on e vegetable safari hunt to collect and count different items to "make" veggie tomato soup. They even got to taste vegetable soup!
Check out these wildcats connecting with each other and reading through a good book together
Is there any better place on Earth than the library? Check out our 3rd graders at the library, at the Placentia municipal building, and seeing some of our first responder vehicles. They even got to see the library's brand new bookmobile!
We had a great time at our first ever Wagner Family Paint Night! It was a wonderful night. Thank you to our PTA for organizing and our very own Stephanie West (parent, staff member, PTA member, and West Studio Art owner) for making this possible.
