Mahir is a third-year student at Penn State Abington majoring in Information Technology and minoring in Business, Security and Risk Analysis. During spring 2024, Mahir studied abroad in Istanbul, Turkey through IST 497/CMPSC 497/ENGR 497 - An Introduction to Internet of Things - Abington (Spring Break).

"Some of the few highlights from my experience would be getting to explore the beautiful and one of the most historic cities in the world: Istanbul. I learned about Turkish Culture and visited different landmarks. Besides that, I also had a chance to work with students at Yasar University in Izmir, where we collaborated on a project to create a smart hospital bed using IoT technologies like the M5 Stack and Oracle Cloud."
