Carly's Education Abroad Experience

"My absolute favorite part of studying abroad was experiencing an entirely new culture, while getting to speak the language amongst native speakers. I am forever grateful for the friends I made abroad, as well as the sights I saw while traveling both inside Germany and to Austria.

Studying abroad taught me a wide range of skills that will 100% be useful in the future. For instance, I had absolutely no idea how to travel without my parents, but with the only two other students I traveled with, I basically had to figure it out on my own (it's not as scary as I thought it would be!) I learned that I am so capable of not only conducting research but doing it IN ANOTHER COUNTRY IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE!! Studying abroad will teach you practical skills needed for your future, but more importantly, it will make you realize that you are capable of accomplishing scary and new things.

Don't be afraid to reach out and ask questions. Even if you think the question is already answered online or was in a previous meeting, just ask and find out. Everyone in the process is so supportive and wants you to succeed."
