Major: Management

Minor: Political Science, Legal Environment in Business

About Vaishnavi: Vaishnavi Doma is a third-year student at Penn State studying Management with a minor in Political Science and Legal Environment in Business. This past summer, she spent 8 weeks studying and interning in London! She took a class studying contemporary British politics, where she got to travel to different places all over England, attend events, and speak to locals about political issues. She also interned at a non-profit that focuses on combating racial issues within the education system and took part in research in order to create lesson plans for the classroom. While in London she was able to experience working in a new environment and immerse herself in the culture by exploring the city and everything it had to offer. She loved visiting the vintage markets, going to concerts, seeing plays on the West End, going to the Barbie movie red carpet, and she was also able to travel to Dublin. She is so excited to meet everyone and help those who want to go abroad so that they can also have an amazing experience!

Advice to Prospective Education Abroad Students: Studying abroad gave me an entirely new perspective on the work environment that we have in America. Immersing myself in a British workplace allowed me to see the differences firsthand. It was interesting to see the different things that are prioritized here that I would have never known about. It also helped me grow as a person by allowing me to work on my communication and technological skills. It can be intimidating when looking at all the different options for studying abroad, but I truly believe that there is something for everyone. Whether it is just taking a class, or doing a class or internship, I think it is important to talk about all your options and figure out what is going to work best. I am more than happy to discuss with anyone about their options and what they entail and also share more about my experience to help you in any way you need and be a part of your incredible journey.
