About Moira: Moira is a junior studying Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. She studied abroad for 10 weeks during the Summer of 2023 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Stockholm, Sweden. In Denmark, she took a 6-week neuroscience lab course that focused on stem cell research. During this course, she worked with a team of Danish scientists to learn about neurodegenerative diseases and how to model them with patient-derived stem cells. Following her time in Denmark, she spent 4-weeks in Sweden, where she took a psychology course on emerging adulthood, which included a week-long study tour in Madrid, Spain. This course focused on the transition between adolescents to adults, taking into account Swedish and Spanish cultural perspectives. During her time in Scandinavia, Moira was also able to take personal weekend travel around Denmark, as well as to Oslo, Norway, and Helsinki, Finland. Moira decided to become a peer adviser because she absolutely loved her time abroad and wanted to help other students experience education abroad as well.
