About Sagan: Sagan studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland in the fall of 2024. She studied through IES Abroad in the History, Politics, and Social Change Program, taking courses in Irish History, the Northern Irish Troubles, Irish Poetry, Photography, and Irish Communal Identity (a sociology course). During their class time abroad, Sagan visited many Dublin landmarks and presented on the landmarks' historical context with student peers. Sagan became a peer advisor because she wants as many students as possible to experience study abroad!
Advice to Prospective Education Abroad Students: My advice to anyone even remotely interested in studying abroad during their time at Penn State is to attend the Study Abroad Fair or speak to a Peer Adviser about their experiences with studying abroad. Hearing how impactful study abroad has been for others is what gave me the push I needed to embark on the journey myself. I hope to help students make study abroad work for them and their interests!
