Education Abroad Program: CIEE: Amman (Spring 2025)
Major: International Relations
About Nabeel: Nabeel Adam is an International Relations major at Penn State who spent Spring 2025 studying abroad in Amman with CIEE (The Council on International Educational Exchange) through the Semester in Amman program. He chose this program for its strong emphasis on Arabic language advancement and diplomacy coursework, both of which align directly with his academic path and long term goal of becoming a diplomat. In Jordan, he took classes that deepened his understanding of regional politics, international affairs, and the Arabic language while also participating in cultural and educational excursions across the country. Nabeel was drawn to Amman not only for its academic strengths but also for Jordan’s unique mix of desert and Mediterranean landscapes, which offered him a meaningful connection to the environment and history of the region. His experience abroad strengthened his passion for global engagement and cross cultural learning, which inspired him to become a Peer Adviser so he can support other students in taking transformative steps toward international experiences of their own.
