Expanded TK Eligibility: Open to All 4-Year-Olds Starting 2025-26!
Great news for Pleasanton families — eligibility for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) has expanded to include all 4-year-olds! If your child turns 4 by Sept. 1, 2025, you can enroll them in TK for the 2025-26 school year, providing a valuable head start before Kindergarten.
Why TK?
Development: Attending TK provides students with a critical bridge between preschool and kindergarten, fostering early academic, social, and emotional development in a structured learning environment. For families, TK offers an opportunity to support their child's school readiness, ensuring a smoother transition into formal education and laying a strong foundation for long-term success.
Community: Connect with teachers, staff and other families a year in advance, making the transition to Kindergarten easier
Experienced educators: Our certificated educators provide a nurturing, developmentally appropriate setting with a focus on early literacy, social-emotional skills, and hands-on learning

Join us for PPIE’s Pleasanton Run for Education on Sunday, April 27, 2025!
This exciting community event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities.
Choose from a 10K, 5K, 2 Mile, or 1/4 Mile Kids' Challenge—each distance is perfect for both runners and walkers. The day will culminate in a carnival-style celebration featuring vendor booths, an awards ceremony, a DJ, and refreshments.

Creating Kindness: Kindness Week Activities & Events
Vintage Hills will be celebrating Kindness Week Feb 11th - Feb 14th.❤️ We will kick off the celebration with a school-wide presentation next week. I will go into each class and share a video that gets kids thinking about kindness and the ripple effect it can have on others. At that time, kids will also get a schedule of the week (linked here), as well as a Kind Land game board with acts of kindness to complete. There will be spirit days along with lunch recess activities throughout the week. Some of the activities we will be doing are; building a kindness wall with sticky notes, making kindness themed bookmarks to share with others, and creating chalk messages and drawings out on the playground. During the week kids will also be encouraged to complete acts of kindness to move along a game board that they can turn in for a sticker and a ROAR's ticket on Friday, Feb 14th. Each class will also build a paper chain of kind acts to later be connected with all the classes and displayed in the library. I can’t wait for the kids to see how we are all “linked” together by kindness. There will also be a photo op for kids for the yearbook on Friday to close it all out. It should be a super fun week filled with positivity and kind vibes. To be honest, I'm "kind" of looking forward to it all. 🤣 To help get your child excited about our school-wide kindness event here are some stories you can read with them at home.
