1st Grade Reminder
Just a reminder that beginnning Monday, February 27th, all 1st grade students will attend school from 8:20 am - 2:55 M/T/Th/Friday and Wednesday from 9:20 - 2:55.
There will no longer be staggered start times for 1st Grade.
TK/KINDER NEW ENROLLMENT
TK, Kindergarten, Grades 1-12 New Student enrollment for the 2023-24 school year will open on February 6, 2023.
The first day of school for the 23/24 school year is TBD.
State eligibility for Kindergarten: The child must turn 5 years old on or before September 1, 2023.
State eligibility for Transitional Kindergarten: The child must turn 5 between 9/2/2023- 4/2/2024.
Parents of current PUSD TK students do not need to complete the online enrollment for Kindergarten.
Tuesday, February 28, 2023, is the deadline for completed enrollment packages to be received and verified in order to be included in a lottery, should one be necessary at your resident school site.
Enrollments received after February 28, 2023, are received on a first-come, first-serve basis. If a school site does not have space remaining in that particular grade level, the student will be overflowed (placed) at one of our other PUSD schools

2023/2024 NEW STUDENT
ENROLLMENT PACKET INFO
Please make sure that you have included all of the required items
Place your enrollment packet in an envelope.
Drop the packet in the locked mailbox outside the office front door at any time. The box is emptied many times during the day.
You will receive an email confirming that we have received your packet within seven (7) days. If further documentation is needed, you will be contacted.

Please note:
We do not provide tours for incoming students.
You will not be notified of your childs teacher until a few days before school begins.
The bell schedule and first day of school has not yet been approved by the district.

Pants and Shorts Needed
The health office is in need of elastic pants and shorts. Accidents happen and and try to have a selection of spare clothes available. Please consider donating any pants or shorts your child may have outgrown. You can drop them off in the front office. Anything size 4T - 14/16 with an elastic waistband would be appreciated. Thank you
PPIE FUN RUN
Registration is NOW OPEN for our 2 Mile, 5k, or 10k on Sunday, April 30.
PPIE is so excited to host the Run For Education back at the Alameda County Fairgrounds this year. We will have an EXPO at the finish line with music and lots of friends. If you have a local business and would like to join us at the EXPO as a sponsor, reach out to andrea.wilson@ppie.org which sponsorship opportunities meets your needs. We have options ranging from $200 to $1,500 (includes business name on our official t-shirt), and more!
